Our clinic is in Nişantaşı district of Istanbul. If you want to meet face to face before surgery, please contact us for an appointment. If you have decided on your surgery, if you are coming from out of town, if your time is limited, you can contact our Koray teacher via phone or WhatsApp. After your surgery day is determined, our dietician Efe Bey will give you information about your preoperative diet verbally or in writing. With this diet, your liver will shrink and your surgery will be more comfortable. Please share with us the medications you used before the surgery and we will determine which ones to stop.
On the day of surgery, please come to the hospital at 08:00 on an empty stomach unless you are told otherwise. Mr. Samet will meet you at the hospital and accompany you for your preoperative tests. These tests will take about 2 hours. While waiting for the test results, you will settle in your room in the hospital. Approximately 30 minutes before your surgery, Mr. Koray will come and visit you in your room. You will be given a sedative drug before the surgery and you will be taken to the operating room with your bed. Your surgery will be performed under general anesthesia, so your surgery, which takes an hour, will seem like 1 second to you. You will stay in the postoperative recovery room for 30 minutes. When you go to your room, the nurse will give you painkillers and nausea relievers for your pain and nausea, if any. there will be no drain catheter in your body. you will be able to get up and walk by yourself 2 hours after you come to the room. 1 companion can stay with you in the hospital. There is no harm in staying alone. The morning after your surgery, you will go down to the X-ray and your stomach film will be taken. Here you will be given a drink mixed with cherry juice. After the scopy, you will start drinking water and apple juice. After 2 or 3 nights in the hospital, you can drive or travel by plane when you are discharged.
When you go home, both our dietitian and nurse will continue to support you on what to do. You will be able to return to your daily life. Thanks to the closed surgery technique, there will be no harm in heavy lifting and daily movements. The postoperative shower starts in the hospital, but for the first 5 days you go home, you should cover your stitches with waterproof bandages during the shower. Your stitches are hidden and there is no need to remove them. You will start using your prescribed medicines at home. Nutrition will be explained to you by your dietitian at the hospital, you will meet face to face with our dietitian again on the 15th day and your measurements will be made. Online meetings will be provided for those outside the city. You can come to monthly controls during your weight loss process. Every 3 months you will have your blood tests done and sent to us.
